The Venue
Houghton Chapel Centre is a converted non-Conformist chapel in the village of Houghton (pronounced Hoeton), near Huntingdon. Houghton is a charming Cambridgeshire village on the north bank of the River Ouse between Huntingdon and Saint Ives. It is easily reached by road and rail. The village is popular with visitors who come to see the old houses, river scenery and seventeenth century watermill.

- 3ft interior-sprung bunk beds sleeping 30 people in 6 rooms, some with en suite shower. Non-allergic bed linen is provided.

Facilities in the Village
- Shops include a well-stocked grocery store, a hairdresser, newsagent and post office.
- Meals are available at The Three Jolly Butchers and The Three Horseshoes public houses.
- Houghton Mill, which is owned by the National Trust, is open to the public in the summer months.
- A camping and caravan site is adjacent to Houghton Mill.
- Hire of rowing boats and punts in the summer.
Facilities in the Area
- Powered and other boats can be hired in Huntingdon.
- Many miles of country footpaths and countryside walks, including the Ouse Valley Way (26 miles).
- Easy access for the ecologist and ornithologist to freshwater and marshland habitats.
- The university city of Cambridge, and the cathedral cities of Ely and Peterborough are easily reached.
Travel to Houghton
- By Rail: The nearest railway station is Huntingdon on the main line from King's Cross to Edinburgh. The journey between London and Huntingdon takes about one hour.
- By Bus: There is a frequent Huntingdon to St Ives service passing through Houghton. The main pick-up point is by the Clock Tower in the village square about 100 metres from the Chapel Centre.
- By Road: Houghton is easily reached from the A1 and the A14 major roads and the M11 motorway. Houghton is situated just off the A1123 between Huntingdon and St Ives.

We envisage that availability of female and male dorms, triples, doubles and singles will depend on the total number of participants their preferences. On the Registration Form and Agreement you will be asked to state your preference for type of accommodation:

- Sharing double room (and name of person you would like to share with)
- Single room
